Hello, and welcome to my website.
I’m Lynda Layng, a certified Holistic Health Coach, healthy chef, recipe developer and wellness educator. I’m passionate about real food nutrition, fitness, mindfulness and enjoying life to the fullest.
Although, my life has not always been this balanced and healthy. I grew up in a small town outside of Hartford, Connecticut, eating the standard American diet of white bread, processed snacks and way too much diet soda. At the ripe young age of twenty eight I was preparing myself to say goodbye to my mother who was dying of breast cancer. She passed away in June of 2001 and her care and treatment made me question a few things about the connection between your diet, nutrition, health and disease. I didn’t have much time to grieve, because only twenty days later we discovered my dad had suffered a massive stroke, and eventually passed away due to complications of heart disease. Let’s just say this was a summer I was glad to put behind me as I moved forward grieving, parentless and healing.
My new found passion for a healthier lifestyle free of illness and disease started in my kitchen. I always loved to cook and try new recipes, so I was inspired to study and learn everything I could get my hands on related to healing with real food. I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and today I am currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health. While also writing a e-cookbook using some of my most popular recipes.
I’m passionate about helping people take charge of their health, feel their best and experience the benefits of plant-based nutrition. Today I’m so blessed to be able to teach, cook and share in my community of Hoboken, New Jersey and neighboring New York City.
